I woke up around 8a and didn’t start opening gifts till about 9a. I bought my mom’s boyfriend Mark Korn’s Greatest Hits CD and my mom got my iPod, new earphones to go with it, and a brand new iHome. She was ecstatic. I got Breakfast At Tiffany’s, 500 Days of Summer, and The Science of Sleep on DVD, a pink laptop sleeve, earrings, and a necklace with my birthstone. After all presents were opened,  Mickey came over to exchange gifts. He was very happy with his GPS. I made him open it right away so we could play around with it. I also got him a New Moon poster and made him a mix CD with my favorite John Mayer songs. The gift that he brought was a little heavy. I opened it and there was a phonebook inside of a gift box! But underneath it was the shipping/tracking information to my brand new camera! It’s a hot pink Canon Powershot. Yeeeeeeee! Christian came over soon after to exchange gifts. He loved his brand new cell phone. He had no idea what he was getting. For the past few weeks I played it off like he was getting something extremely heavy. He got me Victoria Secret sweatpants, a purse I really wanted, and a coin purse in the shape of a peace sign. Later that day I went to Christian’s mom’s house for a Christmas party. We sat around opening presents,talking and eating. His parents got me pajama pants from Old Navy and a Vegetarian cookbook.  After dinner I started feeling super tired that my eyes could barely stay open. I guess that’s what I get for waking up so early. We left around 10:30. I came home, put on PJ’s, and watched 500 Days of Summer. That movie is amazing.

I’ve been pretty busy these past few days. On Monday I finally went up to my cc and took the required placement tests. Unfortunately, I scored horrible on the math. I got a chance to talk to a guidance counselor and complete my new student orientation. While I was sitting in the cafe on my laptop browsing Facebook, I started to talk to the only other person who was in the cafe. His name was Keith and he worked at the book store on campus. We mostly talked about Applebee’s being better than Chili’s (which is where he worked). I scheduled my classes online later that night. So far I'm registered for: Humanities, Women Studies, Business Math, and Film Appreciation. Every English web-based class was filled. Classes start Jan 9th. Tuesday and Wednesday consisted of last minute Christmas shopping. I am completely finished with my holiday shopping! This seriously calls for a celebration. Everything is wrapped, tagged and put under the tree. Jimmy came over and we exchanged gifts. He got me a John Mayer concert poster and a really sweet sweater. Tomorrow is my job's Secret Santa gift exchange. The person who's name I picked is Jasmine (host) and I bought her a really cute purse. Unlike the others, I have no idea who my secret santa is. I'm anxious. Oh, and I can’t wait to open more gifts on Friday. :)

My friends are home for winter break! So we all chilled together Saturday night. But first let me start off by saying how crappy my Saturday shift at work was. The expo and the manager got into it, she got upset, went home, and the restaurant was left with no expo. I helped out as much as I could, but it got super busy and since I’m not trained to expo the food couldn’t get out as fast. Everything was just chaos. I finally got to leave around 9p. Mickey met up with me at our work and we both went to my house so I could get dressed. He and my mom were talking for the longest. I could tell she really likes him. We left my house around 10p and drove to the restaurant where Destiny, Ryan, Greg, and CJ were going to meet up with us. Since we got there first, I played a quick game of Guitar Hero and ordered a side salad.  When they finally decided to arrive we then ordered, ate, played Janet Jackson and Bell Biv Devoe on the jukebox, watched a little bit of the football game and just laughed/talked. I felt kind of bad for Mickey because there’s so many inside jokes my friends and I share; he probably felt left out. After dinner, we went to the Redbox to rent a movie then went back to Destiny’s to watch it. The movie we picked out was suppose to be ~*scary*~ but it wasn’t. Not really. Mickey had to be home so we left and got home around 2:30a.
